Clermont Foot 63


Clermont Foot 63 is a club currently playing in French Ligue 2 – BKT. Positioned as the “hub” of the alliance, the club represents a strong mix of innovation and tradition based on an attractive and recognized style of play as well as the French well-known young talent development expertise.

Founded in 1990 only but heir of a long-lasting football tradition in Auvergne, Clermont Foot 63 has been playing in Ligue 2 for the last 14 seasons. In the past ten years, the club was very close from touching the grail of Ligue 1 promotion on various opportunities.

The club is a symbol of innovation with the first woman, Corinne Diacre, coaching a pro club in one of the “Big-5” football countries from 2014 – 2017. In 2017 the inauguration of the training center shared with the rugby pro club, the only example in the world marked another important milestone.

In football terms, CF63 enjoys a reputation of playing a sophisticated tactical and technical game with the various coaches having been elected four times in the past thirteen years (2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019) “Best coach of Ligue 2”.

Located in the Region of Auvergne with the powerful economic base, Michelin (one of the leading tires manufacturer in the world), Limagrain (one of the largest seed producers in the world), Clermont Foot 63 will enjoy as of the summer 2023, a new 16,000 seater modernized stadium.

Since Q1 of 2019 Core Sports Capital’s shares in Clermont Foot 63 have been increased to 97%.
